THE NECK LIFT PROCEDURE

Neck lifts are typically performed on an outpatient basis under twilight or local anesthesia. Incisions are placed behind the ears or under the jawline so as not to be visible. The weakened neck muscles are also tightened and realigned. Any excess skin and fat are removed prior to the remaining skin being pulled taut and sutured shut. Depending on the amount of fat to be removed, liposuction may also be utilized to create a desirable contour. Through a process called fat grafting, fat may also be redistributed to other areas on the neck or facial region to achieve your desired results.
