Are Sculptra injections painful?
Most patients tolerate Sculptra injections very well. While you may feel some pressure, you likely won’t feel much discomfort or pain at all. If you’re particularly worried, we can apply a topical anesthetic to ensure you’re completely comfortable.
When can I expect to see the results of Sculptra?
The results of Sculptra aren’t immediate; they appear gradually over time. It can take up to 6-8 weeks to see results, as the collagen and elastin in the skin build up.
How does Sculptra work?
Sculptra is made up of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which, when injected into the skin, kickstarts the body’s natural healing process and increases collagen and elastin production. As the collagen and elastin build up over time, you’ll notice fewer lines and wrinkles and more facial volume.
FOR HOW LONG DOES DOES SCULPTRA LAST?
Sculptra can last up to 2 years in most patients. Sculptra’s counterparts like Juvederm and Restylane usually last only nine months to one year. Yet, Sculptra does not necessarily provide instant gratification to patients. Since Sculptra isn’t just adding volume, but helping your body stimulate its own collagen growth, it can take 45-90 days to see the full result of your Sculptra injection.
HOW CAN SCUPTRA BE USED WITH OTHER PRODUCTS?
Sculptra is a great alternative to hyaluronic acid fillers. Though the initial treatment might be a bit more costly, the longevity of the product can make it more cost-effective long term. In addition, Sculptra can be added to other treatments such as Botox, Juvederm, and Restylane products to achieve the ultimate non-surgical facelift.
