Hyperhidrosis (Excessive Sweating)

Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, can be a significant source of embarrassment and discomfort. No one wants to raise their arms and have to worry about having sweat stains under their armpits.

Hyperhidrosis treatments help reduce excessive sweating by calming overactive sweat glands, leaving you feeling drier, more comfortable, and more confident in everyday situations. Common treatment areas include the underarms and, in some cases the hands, feet, or forehead/scalp, depending on your needs. Many patients notice a significant decrease in sweating within the first several days to two weeks after treatment, with results continuing to improve as the treatment fully takes effect. Depending on the treatment used and the area treated, results can last for several months, and maintenance visits can help you stay consistently dry and comfortable without the daily stress of excessive sweating.

Drier, More Comfortable Daily Life

Long-Lasting Relief

Many patients experience noticeable improvement within several days to two weeks, with results that can last for several months. Maintenance treatments can help you stay consistently dry and comfortable year-round.

We tailor your plan based on your symptoms, treatment area, and goals. Our team prioritizes safety, comfort, and natural results, helping you achieve effective sweat control without looking or feeling “over-treated.”

Hyperhidrosis treatment can be life-changing—reducing sweat-related stress, helping clothing fit and feel better, and allowing you to move through your day with more confidence and ease.

Who Is an Ideal Candidate for Hyperhidrosis (Excessive Sweating) Treatment?

Hyperhidrosis treatment is ideal for individuals who experience excessive sweating that goes beyond normal temperature or activity-related perspiration. If sweating interferes with your comfort, confidence, daily routine, or professional life, you may be a great candidate. Ideal candidates are in good overall health and have realistic expectations about improving sweating and quality of life. A consultation with our providers will determine the most appropriate treatment option based on your symptoms, medical history, and goals.

Excessive Sweating in Common Treatment Areas

Hyperhidrosis treatments are especially helpful for people who experience persistent sweating in areas such as the underarms (axillary hyperhidrosis)handsfeet, or forehead/scalp. Treatments work by reducing overactive sweat gland signaling, helping you stay drier and more comfortable.

Good Overall Health

Ideal candidates are generally healthy and do not have medical conditions that could interfere with treatment. During your consultation, our team will review your health history, medications, and any underlying factors that could contribute to sweating to ensure treatment is safe and appropriate.

Realistic Expectations

Hyperhidrosis treatments can significantly reduce sweating, but results are not always permanent and may require maintenance treatments over time. Outcomes vary depending on the treatment type and the area being treated. Patients who understand the process and follow recommended follow-up schedules are typically the most satisfied with their results.

Microneedling

The newest innovative techniques to treat hyperhidrosis involve using radio frequency energy or laser therapy to destroy sweat glands resulting in a reduction of sweating of up to 70 to 80 percent. Radio frequency energy that is emitted during treatment with Infini microneedling along with laser energy produced from various laser treatments for sweating, are able to precisely target, heat and destroy the sweat glands found in the tissue layer under the skin of the underarms. These treatments can accomplish this without damaging the surrounding tissue.

Botox

Botox works wonders for reversing signs of aging and for treating migraines; however, it has also been proven effective at treating excessive sweating. It works by blocking the nerves that activate sweat glands. Treatments are quick and painless, but the downside of using Botox for hyperhidrosis is that it can be quite costly, and results only last for up to four to six months.

Topical Deoderants

Topical over-the-counter and prescription deodorants may be used to reduce hyperhidrosis side effects. These products include ingredients that may potentially block sweat production by inhibiting the activation of sweat glands. Topical treatments may be sufficient for sufferers who don’t necessarily have severe hyperhidrosis.

Extremely happy with my experience at Neaman Medi Spa. I was met with a caring, friendly staff. I am 59 and showing signs of aging. First, I had filler and BOTOX done by with great results. Next, a laser treatment using radio waves. Very little recovery time. I love the results already.

What to Expect During Hyperhidrosis (Excessive Sweating) Treatment

The hyperhidrosis treatment process is simple, comfortable, and personalized. It begins with a consultation to discuss your symptoms, goals, and the areas affected by excessive sweating. Treatment is performed efficiently with minimal discomfort and little to no downtime. Many patients notice a significant reduction in sweating within several days to two weeks, with results lasting several months. Maintenance treatments may be recommended to help you stay consistently dry and comfortable long-term.

Schedule a Consultation and Discuss Goals

Your hyperhidrosis journey starts with a personalized consultation where we discuss how excessive sweating impacts your daily life and which areas you’d like to treat—most commonly the underarms, and in some cases the hands, feet, or forehead/scalp. Our provider will review your health history and evaluate potential contributing factors to ensure treatment is safe and appropriate.

1

Build a Customized Treatment Plan

Based on the severity of sweating, treatment area, and your goals, we’ll create a customized plan designed to provide effective, natural-feeling sweat control. We’ll also review what you can expect regarding timing of results, how long improvements typically last, and whether maintenance sessions may be helpful.

2

Receive Initial Treatment

Hyperhidrosis treatment appointments are quick and generally well-tolerated. The treatment is performed with a precise technique to target overactive sweat glands and reduce excessive perspiration. Most patients describe the sensation as brief pinches or mild pressure. The entire visit is typically completed in a short appointment, making it easy to fit into your schedule.

3

Schedule Follow-Up + Pre-Book Next Treatment

After treatment, you can return to normal activities right away with a few simple guidelines. Results typically become noticeable within several days to two weeks and can last for months. We may recommend follow-up visits to assess your response and plan maintenance timing. Pre-booking your next appointment helps you stay ahead of returning symptoms and maintain consistent, confidence-boosting dryness.
