We understand the science behind hair removal and offer a laser that treats a wide variety of different hair colors and thicknesses in a variety of skin types. Virtually all locations can be treated including back, arms, legs, face, chest, bikini area and underarms.

The Candela Laser removes or profoundly reduces unwanted hair by laser light. When the correct wavelength of laser light is applied to hair in the treatment area, melanin in the hair absorbs the light, which is converted into heat energy. The buildup of thermal energy causes the destruction of hair follicles as well as associated stem cells and dermal papillae, while the surrounding skin is undamaged. Some follicles will only be damaged or may regrow, so numerous treatments are required to reduce or eliminate unwanted hair effectively for a persistent result.

Side effects are usually mild. The skin may appear red-similar to a sunburn. This subsides in 24-48 hours. Blistering is extremely rare.

IS LASER HAIR REMOVAL PAINFUL?

The majority of our patients report a rubber band snapping of the skin while the area is being treated.
