WHAT ARE STRETCH MARKS?

Stretch marks are essentially a type of scar. They are small tears that occur in your skin and appear as long, narrow streaks or lines and differ in color from the surrounding skin. They develop as a result of sudden stretching or shrinking of the skin such as during puberty or pregnancy. They are commonly found on the stomach, abdomen, arms, back, and love handles. Because stretch marks affect the deeper layers of skin, creams and lotions are not successful in treating them.

TREAT STRETCH MARKS FROM THE INSIDE OUTWITH INFINI RF OR MICRONEEDLING

Infini RF is a revolutionary treatment modality that combines high-intensity focused radiofrequency technology with fractional needling. Infini works differently than other laser treatments in that it doesn’t just treat the outside of the skin with thermal energy; it uses flow needle technology to deliver radiofrequency energy deep into the dermis. Our spa providers also offer standard microneedling as a less-invasive method than the Infini RF Laser. Both treatments stimulate collagen production and tissue tightening. The new collagen helps to rebuild and strengthen the existing tissue, thus eliminating signs of aging, including stretch marks. Microneedling is also used to improve the appearance of acne scars, wrinkles, and fine lines.

STRETCH MARK REMOVAL RECOVERY AND RESULTS

Infini’s RF delivery eliminates thermal damage to the skin’s surface providing faster healing without prolonged downtime. Most patients only experience slight redness immediately following treatment. Because you are working to alter the underlying tissue structure, it can take several treatments to achieve your desired results.

The degree of dermal stretching will be a determining factor in how quickly your skin heals and reduces the appearance of the targeted stretch mark. It typically takes three sessions spaced approximately four weeks apart to achieve full results. It is also recommended to schedule an annual touchup to maintain collagen production.

What causes stretch marks?

Stretch marks, as the name suggests, are caused by rapidly stretching skin that affects the collagen and elastin in the skin. They can occur during pregnancy, rapid weight gain or loss, genetics, puberty, and with certain health conditions.
