Breast implants may require replacement over time, particularly when a rupture occurs. This 62-year-old female patient came to board-certified Dr. Christiansen after experiencing a rupture of one of her 10-year-old breast implants. She underwent a Bilateral Breast Implant Exchange, replacing both existing implants with new 385cc high-profile, smooth round silicone implants. The procedure addressed the ruptured implant while allowing for replacement of both implants during the same surgery. At 3 months post-surgery, her case highlights how breast implant exchange can address complications from previous augmentation while maintaining breast volume and contour.
